Program Description:
We live in America’s most generous state. Millions of Oklahomans give billions annually to care for our neighbors and improve our quality of life. It’s the Oklahoma Standard.
Standards accompany every gift made by a donor to a nonprofit. Donors have absolute rights and nonprofits have immutable responsibilities. Whether you’re a donor or on staff or volunteer for a nonprofit, you’ll learn more about ethical standards that govern these transactions. You’ll learn how we can build trust to ensure Oklahoma’s tradition of voluntarily giving for the common good.
Key Takeaways:
- Understand the charitable sector’s economic impact in Oklahoma
- Take a deep dive into the Donor Bill of Rights
- Develop ideas about ethical responsibilities of all nonprofits
